  1. A 1993 Coincidence? The Palestinian Authority (PA) was established in 1993 (Oslo Accord) by Palestinian terrorists from Iraq, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan and Tunisia, rewarding the role-model of international terrorism and energizing global terrorism. Anti-US terrorism was accelerated in 1993, with the first attempt on the Twin Towers.

  2. A Shady Track Record. The PA has become the largest and most diplomatically-protected terrorist base in the world, harboring anti-US Islamic terrorists. The PA/PLO has been a systematic ally of Iran and N. Korea, a staunch supporter of Bin-Laden and Saddam and a deadly threat to Jordan’s Hashemite regime. Palestinian terrorists fought the US in Afghanistan and Iraq. The PLO was a strategic ally of Communist USSR and of the ruthless regimes in E. Europe. The ideological mentor of the PA/PLO, Haj Amin Al-Husseini, was an active ally of the Nazis.

  3. The Broader the PLO Authority, the Harsher the Terrorism:

  • International terrorism boomed during the 1968-70 PLO autonomy/independence in Jordan. It plummeted upon PLO’s expulsion from Jordan.

  • International terrorism intensified during the 1971-1982 PLO’s reign in Southern Lebanon and in parts of Beirut (US ambassadors Cleo Noel and Curtis Moore were murdered, by the PLO, in 1973 in Sudan). International terrorism was subdued when the PLO was expelled from Lebanon.

  • International terrorism escalated when the PLO reconstructed its network from Tunisia, but was severely constrained by Israel’s operations and by the 1991 defeat of its chief ally, Saddam.

  • The 1993 establishment of the PA provided international terrorism a most effective platform against the US, the West and Israel.

  • The upgrading of the PA to an independent state would drastically exacerbate international terrorism.

  1. PA Education, Media and Clergy has Incited Against the US, has heralded Saddam and Bin-Laden, has idolized anti-US homicide bombers in Iraq and has urged Moslems to murder Americans.

  2. State-Sponsored Terrorism. The post 9/11 world has highlighted the fact that the primary feature of anti-US Islamic terrorism is State Sponsorship, rather than a merely law enforcement challenge. The establishment of a Palestinian State would undermine US values and the US-led war on global terrorism.
