The PLO – A Role Model for Inter-Arab Treachery

  • In the late 1950s, Arafat, Abu-Mazen, Abu-Ala’, Inc. had to flee Egypt for subversion.

  • In 1966, they were chased out of Syria for the murder of Syrian intelligence officers.

  • In 1970, they were expelled from Jordan, following an attempt to topple the Hashemite regime.

  • In 1975, they attempted to violently remove the Lebanese regime.

  • In 1990, they betrayed another host-regime, spearheading Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. Kuwait expelled all 400,000 Palestinians and has severed all ties with the PLO/PA.

All Arab regimes have prohibited PLO personnel to bear firearms on their soil, and have refrained from any significant financial or military assistance to the PLO.

The More Independent the PLO, The More Intense is Terrorism

  • PLO autonomy in Jordan (1968-70) triggered a major civil war, escalated hijacking and prompted Syrian invasion of Jordan. The expulsion of the PLO from Jordan subsided violence.

  • PLO autonomy in Lebanon transformed the country into the largest terrorist base in the world, caused a bloody civil war, which led to Syria’s occupation of Lebanon. The purge of the PLO from Lebanon reduced international terrorism.

  • The bolstered PLO presence in Tunisia intensified international terrorism, which was later constrained following the elimination of Arafat’s deputy, Abu-Jihad, a mounting pressure by moderate Arab regimes and the 1991 defeat of PLO’s top ally, Saddam.

  • The 1993 Oslo Process snatched the PLO from the jaws of defeat, enhanced its independence in an unparallel manner and therefore unprecedentedly exacerbated terrorism.

In view of the aforementioned data, how intense will terrorism grow, if the PLO is granted an independent state?!

The PLO Leopard Doesn’t Change Spots; It Changes Tactics

  • PLO-Hamas understanding was reached 3 days following the 1993 conclusion of the Oslo Accord.

  • Since 1994, anti-US and anti-Semitic incitement, as well as praising homicide bombing and the destruction of Israel have featured in PLO/PA’s systems of education, clergy and media, which constitute an authentic reflection of PLO/PA’s strategic goal.

  • The PLO/PA has fueled Christian flight from Bethlehem, Beit Jallah and Ramallah.

  • Since 1993, the PA has become the largest terrorist base in the world.

  • Since 1993, the PLO/PA has systematically and violently violated all agreements concluded with Israel.

Fool Me Once Shame on You, Fool Me Twice Shame on Me

  • Should Israel conduct negotiation with the PLO/PA, which has been the role-model of brutal and systematic violation of commitments, of terrorism, hijacking, subversion and incitement, of the breeding of homicide bombers and the production of car bombs, of corruption and suppression of human rights, and the support of rogue regimes (USSR, Khomeini, Saddam, Taliban, No. Korea)?!

  • A proper due-diligence of the last 10 years since Oslo – and of the 39 years since the establishment of the PLO - intimates about the nature of the proposed Palestinian State. It reveals that the PLO/PA has never been a partner to the solution; it has been the cause of the problem. The problem is not personal (Arafat); it is systemic (PLO/PA).
