Jerusalem Cloakroom #136Lessons Concluded from
the Murder of Three Americans by

PA/PLO clergies, educators and
journalists have consistently praised US’ enemies (bin Laden, Saddam, Iran,
etc.) and incited against the US.
US taxpayers should stop financing
PA/PLO anti-US incitement, as has been the case since 1994, when the US
initiated the $100MN annual (fungible) foreign aid to the PA/PLO. It has
formally been channeled via Palestinian NGOs, whose “independence” is
identical to that of Iraqi NGOs under Saddam.
Egyptian culpability is
underscored by Mubarak’s tolerance of the smuggling of explosives, missiles
and other military hardware, from Sinai into Gaza. It is consistent with
Mubarak’s destructive policy toward Saddam, Qaddafi, No. Korea, Sudan, the
Horn of Africa and Israel.
PA/PLO ingratitude and treachery
has once again been demonstrated, when facilitating the murder of the three
Americans, while the Department of State and the CIA have been promoting the
establishment of a Palestinian State, and have trained PA “security
organizations”. Similarly, in 1990, the PLO spearheaded Iraq’s plunder of
Kuwait, in spite of Kuwait’s most generous hospitality since 1959, and despite
US (Bush #41) pressure on Israel (Shamir) to recognize the PLO. The PLO (not
just Arafat) has been considered by Arabs as the role model of treachery,
back-stabbing, terrorism, non-compliance and corruption, as demonstrated by
its subversive activities in Syria (1966), Jordan (1970), Lebanon (1975-1982)
and Kuwait (1990).
The PA/PLO should not be entrusted
with war on (its own harbored/operated) terrorism.
US response should be decisively
confrontational a-lá Afghanistan and Iraq, rather than indecisively
accommodating a-lá USS Cole, Tanzania and Kenya, Khobar Towers, and
Twin Tower 1993. The latter, eventually, fueled the fire of 9/11. Foggy
Bottom should not constrain Israel into a low-intensity war against
terrorism. Israel should implement Powell’s Doctrine of disproportional
response.
The US-Israel unique bonds consist
of mutual threats, joint interests, shared values, confluence of destiny and
partnership in grief. Muslim intolerance of non-Muslim “infidel” elements
has dominated the Mideast since the 7th century, plaguing non-Muslim
minorities as well as Western Powers (e.g. Palestinian alliance with Hitler)
and the Jewish State. It afflicted the US in Lebanon (300 murdered in 1983),
in Saudi Arabia (24 murdered in 1995-6), in Aden (17 murdered in 2000), in the
US itself (3,000 in 9/11) and it has afflicted the US on a daily basis in
Iraq.
A Palestinian state and American interests and values would constitute an oxymoron and a reward to terrorism and hate education.
